2020-2021 Roster:  Brandon Valentine-Parris, Finote Weldemariam, Landon Bishop, Phillip Marcelle, Ashley Weeks, Aaliyah Williams, Samuel Cudjoe, Lavar Stubs, Tea Medley, Keon Terry, Valcour Marcellus, Christopher Ingram. 

Coaches:

Finote Weldemariam was a member of the inaugural SAU cycling team. Originally from Keren, Eritrea, Finote graduated from SAU in 2021 with a degree in Organizational Management.

​

He works full-time for SAU in the marketing department and has joined the cycling team coaching staff for the 2021-2022 season.

Brandon Valentine-Parris, a recent Sports Management graduate, was a track and field athlete at SAU.

 

He also represented Saint Vincent & the Grenadines in the 400 m dash in the 2016 Olympics & the 2019 Doha World Championships.

​

He is a USA Cycling-certified coach who is also now training and preparing to be a pro cyclist w/ a mission to diversify cycling and unify people through sport.

Umar Muhammad is a Sport Management instructor in the School of Business, Management, and Technology at the Saint Augustine's University. He comes to the university with experience in sports marketing, brand development, entrepreneurship, community partnership engagement, and local economic development.

 

He received his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University, a Master's degree from North Carolina Central University and is currently a doctoral student in Sport Leadership and Theory at the United States Sports Academy.

Dr. Mark Janas (mjanas@st-aug.edu) teaches in the business school at SAU with a focus in sport management and virtual/e-sports. Janas has held positions with regulatory agencies, tech firms, healthcare operations, universities, & pro sports teams.

​

He has successfully started, grown, and exited multiple companies and is the founder of RevoRace.com, a virtual event & fundraising platform. Janas is also a USA Cycling-certified coach & an age-group competitor in various endurance sports.
