


The SAU Innovation Center (“the Center”) operates under the School of Business, Management, & Technology at Saint Augustine's University. The Center supports the University's mission by:

providing enhanced instructional, practical learning, and experience opportunities for students,

creating new marketing opportunities for the school,

developing relationships with the local, regional, and national business communities,
-
delivering consultative, development, and support resources for new business ideas and initiatives,
-
and opening new revenue streams to support educational programs and initiatives.
New business ideas and opportunities may be presented to the Center by current and former students, faculty and staff members, local community members, and/or established businesses or corporations with specific business or project needs.
Each opportunity presented will be reviewed by the Center’s Executive Committee for fit with Center goals, as well as the services that can be provided by the Center. Those services may include:

Strategic business consultations

Legal consultations

Marketing services
-
Product design services
-
Operations/support services
-
Sales support services
-
Access to existing faculty, partner, department, and school contact network

Access to the SAU Sports & Technology Labs
Note: The Center's Executive Committee is comprised of SAU faculty members and local business community members with extensive business development and management experience, as well as a history of guiding companies from start up to exit.
Upon approval by the Executive Committee, written agreements shall be put in place for each initiative that establishes the services to be provided, business and project milestones, fees required, as well as revenue and ownership shares as appropriate. Services provided by the Center may be performed by students, student interns, faculty members, and/or contract entities as needed.
The Center may also pursue separate public and private grants, as well as contracted research, professional development, and consulting opportunities.
